NYCC 2017 Educational Panels to Make Comics

Comic Book School will be hosting educational panels at New York Comicon 2017. If you are a writer, artist, inker, colorist, letterer, editor, or publisher, you should check out these panels on how to make comics. All of these NYCC 2017 educational panels are hosted by comic book writer and educator, Buddy Scalera. Each of these how to panels features top comic book pros discussing the craft and business of making comics.

THURSDAY

Title: NYPL Connecting Pros and Librarians

Description: Professional librarians and comic book professionals will join together to share insights, network, and create new connections. This pro-level networking session will help create connections between comic book creators and the librarians who curate creative materials. Comic creators include Nelson DeCastro (Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Professor SVA), Alex Simmons (DC Comics), Buddy Scalera (Marvel Comics), Paul Mounts (Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Image Comics, and Taylor Esposito (Marvel Comics, Image Comics).

Title: Storytelling on the Page for Artists & Writers

Creator After Con Network (CACN) is an after-hours version of Buddy Scalera’s Creator Connection. Join fellow Creators in a casual environment, build a peer network, and join a growing community.
